The Opening Act
Vinyl Rock Barbershop has been a long time coming- a dream born from a love of music, style, and community.
Raised in Niagara Falls, New York, Shaun Franks’ journey started on stage, rocking wild hairstyles and chasing artistic expression. After moving back to San Diego in 2004 and sharpening his skills at cosmetology school, life led him to Sacramento with his wife and three kids.
Here, he’s brought his passion full circle, creating a space where vinyl records spin, classic cuts meet modern edge, and every visit feels like part of the show. At Vinyl Rock, it’s not just a haircut- it’s a culture, a vibe, and a celebration of craft.
